Child Relocation Modifying Child Support Documents Prepared
For obtaining a court approved order to relocate children and modify child support at the same time for Washington State Courts.
Either parent can have child support addressed (changed) when one of them have filed for or objected to relocation.
Child support in a relocation case can be changed up or down for many different reasons.
Long distance transportation is but one example to change the child support, especially if there are multiple plane trips for visitation purposes per year.
If the child custody is switching from one parent to the other, child support can and should be modified at the same time. This is all part of the relocation case, which also became a custody action.
It may be that the child support simply has not been updated. Often, this is sufficient reason to modify during an objection or a notice when the parenting plan is being changed, or long distance transportation comes into plan.
